Røde's VideoMic NTG is a broadcast-quality shotgun microphone for on-camera use.

It has a unique unique design as the NTG5, of course, delivers a unique sound. Add a cohesive flat frequency response, very low self-noise, and what you have is an on-camera compact mic that competes with the world's best shotgun mics.

As well as sounding excellent, the VideoMic NTG is extremely flexible, with a range of tools and features to help you tackle any shooting situation. Digital gives you access to a high pass filter, -20dB pad, high frequency boost and safety channel, plus a unique stepless gain control that lets you tailor the performance to your need. The auto-ensing 3.5mm detects which device you are connected to (camera or mobile) and switches to the remote location - no more hassle with adapter cables! There's also a handy new dB peak warning light so you can always make sure your audio isn't clipping.

The VideoMic NTG is so much more than just a microphone on the camera. Not only does it combine perfectly with DSLRs, compact cameras and smartphones - on-camera, as a boom microphone or on a pistol grip - it's also a fully visible USB microphone that can be connected to a computer, tablet or smartphone. In addition, the 3.5mm jack doubles as a headphone output for audio output monitoring while using the USB output.
